Your next pet may be just around the corner

There are more places to find your next rescued furry family member than just in the animal shelter. Through partnerships with three local animal welfare organizations, each of Poudre Pet & Feed Supply’s six stores serves as an off-site adoption location, enabling homeless animals to gain even more exposure to potential adopters and freeing up cage space in each shelter.

Adoptable cats and small mammals from Animal Friends Alliance, Larimer Humane Society, and Humane Society of Weld County are awaiting new homes at every Poudre Feed location in Northern Colorado.

More than 560 felines and nearly 120 small mammals have been adopted directly from a Poudre Feed store since 2017.

Coming up on Oct. 2, Big Bones Canine Rescue will be joining Larimer Humane Society and Animal Friends Alliance at the Furry Fling, a joint adoption event taking place from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. outside the Poudre Feed store at 622 N. College Ave. in Fort Collins.

The Furry Fling will feature adoptable dogs and cats on site, as well as K9 Unit demonstrations by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, food trucks, prize drawings, and lots of free pet food samples from multiple vendors.

Your next pet may be just around the corner, without a trip to the shelter even necessary!
